Terms and Conditions
Where a service user will be responsible for paying the costs of their care or treatment (either in full or partially), Shining Care Ltd will provide a statement to the service user, or to a person acting on the service user's behalf. The fees will be paid fortnightly in advance and received no later than the date of the first Care Visit. Fortnightly payments will continue, usually, via standing order or direct debit until notice in writing is received ordering the cessation of service provision. Fourteen days’ notice to cease Care Giving is required and charges will continue until the period of notice has been served.
Shining Care Ltd will provide information about the terms and conditions of their care, treatment, or support, including the expected costs and the requirement to pay for their care, treatment and support. This applies to people who pay fees in full or partially.
Shining Care Ltd will inform Service Users of any changes to their terms and conditions, including increases in fees and give them sufficient time to consider whether they wish to continue with the service.
Shining Care Ltd will inform Service Users how they can make payments. Service Users will be given reasonable notice of when payments are due, so they have the opportunity to arrange payment without incurring penalties or late payment fees.
Shining Care Ltd will give a copy of any contract detailing the service to be provided to the person using the service and/or the person lawfully acting on their behalf.
Knowing how much to pay
Every two weeks we will send you an invoice. This is a request for payment for the care and support you have received. We can send your invoice by post or email. Let us know which you would prefer by contacting a member of the Shining care team at the
When will payment be due?
Every shining Care office operates on its individual terms of business. Most shining Care offices request payment two week following the date of invoice. We recommend that you speak to the team at the shining care to discuss payment.
You choose how you would prefer to pay for your care and support:
Set up a standing order
If you choose to pay by standing order, we will take a specified amount from your nominated account every calendar month.
This may not always fully cover the cost of your care and support. For example, if you have received extra care because of a bank holiday or extra visits for any other reason. Where this is the case our finance team will send you a statement to tell you about the outstanding balance on your account.
If you would like to set up a standing order, please contact a member of staff from the shining care who will send you the documents you need for your bank.
Set up a direct debit
If you choose to pay by direct debit, we will take a specified amount from your nominated account following the issue of your invoice.
Direct debits offer more flexibility than standing orders. You can choose to pay a regular amount as you would with a standing order. Alternatively, you can choose to pay different amounts each month to pay for the actual cost of your care and support for that period.
If you would like to set up a direct debit, please contact a member of staff who will send you the documents you need for your bank.
Make a payment by debit or credit card over the phone
Shining Care Bristol are able to take payment from major debit and credit cards over the telephone. Contact us on 01173251275 to do so.
shining Care does not store any card details. This means that you will need to telephone the office each time you receive an invoice and give details of your payment card and the invoice you wish to make payment on.
